beginner artist tips- stop charging 5-20 points for your work. stop. that's 5-20 CENTS! don't undersell yourself based on what you think your skill level is! someone WILL come along. do sales if you need to but love yourself
- can't draw it? gather pics from google. put them in your drawing program. TRACE THEM to learn shapes. draw them side by side. don't use this art except for practice. tracing and referencing to learn is okay. EVERYONE REFERENCES.
- don't get discouraged by people 'better' than you. there's no better art than other art. skill level and techniques are different. nobody is alike. you WILL REACH YOUR GOAL IF YOU KEEP DRAWING!
- have commission goals, aka people you want to be able to afford one day. make it your goal to contribute to the endless money tradeoff that is the art community and work until you can sell enough to afford a thing from your favorite artists. tell them they inspired you!
- allow critique and ask people to redline (draw over your sketches with a red line) to help yo

Anyone else not get their points?I bought points twice last week and have Paypal transactions but no points. Submitted a ticket, they didn't reply in 3 days, submitted another and filed disputes on Paypal. Still no response. I swear to god if dA stole $10 from me lmao

When purchasing a design/character from me, such as Annies, you are buying partial rights to a specific character design belonging to my Closed Species.
The official design artwork is still my copyright/intellectual property. I have the rights to use the design, its original artwork form for promoting myself and my artwork.
Example: Posting it on social media, making and selling tangible items featuring the original design or produce artwork with the original design included for things such as prints, events and artbooks.

Collective Feature #20Updates:
 Firstly, I want to thank the anonymous user who gave me a 3-month Premium Membership. I don't use the features much, but I like the journal themes, so thank you! :D 
 Secondly, I wanted to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! Being at college, nothing excited happened except classes and work, but I did get to help out at a dodgeball tournament our club hosted, so that was kinda fun. 
 Thirdly, who else enjoyed the 70=80 degree temperatures and gorgeous weather on Friday + Saturday? Cause I know I did! It was short lived (back to rainy, windy, and cool) but I hope you all made the most of it! I drove up to Teatown Reservation to see if there was any growth, but there was very few. They opened up their "Wildflower Island" to the public and I hope to go back in a couple of weeks when things begin to grow more. 
 I already know it's going to be one of those weeks because this morning I burnt a finger on the

Comissions: Opened o.o!HELLO THERE
YES! I'M MAKING COMMISSIONS. BILLS TO PAY, NEED TO SURVIVE LOL
In all seriousness, I wanna start to make commissions. After talking to Alyssa (walkingmelons on youtube) about prices, I'm leaning towards following her policy. So if you want to commission me here are some details:
A fully colored digital drawing (like this one): $40 (may charge extra if there are more than 2 characters)
A fully colored digital drawing only focusing on the upper body part: $30
Since I'm just starting with the commission thing I wanna take it slowly and patiently, maybe in a future I'll be able to draw only sketched or simple colored drawings which will be cheaper, but for now I'll focus on what I know I can do better. If you are interested, send me a note named "Commission" and then add what you want. I'm thinking I can only take maybe 2 commissions per week to get started, when I get the hang of it I'll probably be able to take more in.
